GRACE E. WELLMON

My journey as a professional dancer, choreographer, and educator has continually changed throughout my life. I have spent the majority of my 22-year-long dance career studying classical ballet, tap, and jazz in the Central PA area. When I got to high school, I discovered my love for musical theater which broke me out of my ballet mold. When I got to college, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone by learning modern and contemporary dance, hip hop, and even Bollywood.

By pushing myself to take risks and learn new styles of dance that I may not be comfortable with, I have become a well-rounded and diverse dancer. I have grown tremendously as both an artist and a person due to these experiences. 

I graduated from Messiah University with a communications major and a dance minor. After graduation, I went on to dance professionally at Chambersburg Ballet in Chambersburg, PA, and Confluence Ballet Company in Pittsburgh, PA. I am passionate about communication, relationship building, and teamwork. In my years of dance training, I was taught technique and how to perform, but I also learned about hard work, dedication, thinking outside the box, and group collaboration. I envision my combined passions of communication and dance will help me to continue to teach dancers of all levels and abilities and create a safe and collaborative atmosphere in creative spaces.

I currently dance, choreograph, and teach professionally in Central Pennsylvania.​
